South Bali is flat. North Bali is volcanic. The mountains of Buleleng fall straight into the sea, and the coast is darker, quieter, less photographed.
Within thirty minutes by scooter, you're already on the slope of a volcano — not in the crater yet, but climbing.

Primavera Beach House sits on Jl. Raya Air Sanih, in the village of Kubutambahan, Buleleng. The villa is directly on the main coastal road, facing the Bali Sea.
The beach in front of the villa is black sand and pebbles. In the mornings, fishermen pull in their boats; in the afternoons, children play in the shallows; in the evenings, the coast smells faintly of woodsmoke and charcoal from neighbouring kitchens.
Singaraja, the regency capital, is about 25 minutes west. Lovina, known for its daily dolphin tours, is about 45 minutes west.
Closer to the villa, the same waters host dolphins too — though sightings aren't daily. One of the village fishermen takes guests out at dawn from the villa's own beach, in his own jukung. He checks the conditions the night before. The boat heads into open water; on the way back, he drops you on the reef for a swim before breakfast at the villa. We arrange it.
For everything else — drivers, scooters, day trips — we arrange things directly with local providers. No commission, no markup.
